Sub: Engagement of Ex-Servicemen as Gatemen on a contract basis.
Ref.: Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2021/RC-4/1 dated 06.11.2024 (RBE No. 104/2024).
Attention is invited to the Board’s letter under reference above. Keeping in view the operational requirements, the aforesaid scheme has been reviewed, and the Board (MI, MF & CRB) have decided that Ex-servicemen may be engaged as Gatemen (in the Engineering department) by the Zonal Railways on a contract basis directly through Ex-servicemen Welfare Boards under the Central/State Governments.
2. Total number of such engagements, i.e, Ex-servicemen as Gatemen (in Engineering departments) on contract basis will be limited to 7220 (Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty only) as per zone-wise quota indicated in the enclosed “Annexure”.
3. All the other terms and conditions of RBE No. 104/2024 shall remain unchanged.
